Hey, there's nothing that knowing someone with skill & a tig welder wont fix. Someone on another forum has a sv650 with a stock system and he got hold of a midpipe and can from a gsxr or something and one of the local exhaust joints was able to mandrel bend the pipes to blend perfectly & cut/welded everything to suit perfectly and you would never know from looking as it was such a well done job. Only cost him about $90 for the labour at $60/hour.
Well worth considering p'raps?

Mate have a look at some of the creations on the zed site, I saw a thou the other day with one of the newer side exit Gixxer/ R6 pipes on it and it looked awesome, but fark it would have been loud!

Geez!!! Glad to hear the leg's ok mate -- close call
As for the can , I'm sure if it were a barge and the can was a Yoshi there's still plenty left to make a shorty
I'm pretty sure the Hoffymobile/Strikernator run at least say 3 maybe 4 inches worth of Yoshimura can on their 12's

just do what i did mate, buy a cheap brand new muffler off egay, then get your local exhaust shop to make some pipe to get from the collector to the can, got my arrow(meant for GSXR750) for $300 delivered, chopped 100mm off the day i got it, cost $50 for the pipe (not mandrel bent though, but it's not a long section of pipe to get made) or use the pipe from your Micron.
cheers
