Mike, if you decide to do this, I'll be happy to buy the undrilled bolts from you.

Got to get and do mine one day  , might just buy some heavy duty replacement engine covers now that they are allowed, but would depend upon the cost :?

here's a topic with some good video links http://www.ksrc-au.com/phpBB3/viewtopic ... re#p381941

you can also buy pre drilled bolts in either stainless or titanium (go to the race spec listing) http://www.probolt-australia.com/Home

Edit:
How many layers of carbon did you use to make the covers?

Water is slippery too though... ;)
The glyco in coolant is supposed to be wetter than water. And I thought wet was wet.
If you can get a very small amount of coolant on your fingers rubb it together you will see how much more slippery it is than water.
Are you allowed to run DCA in the water or does it have to be just water??
Remember, half the people you know are below average.

The MA (Motorcycling Australia) MOMS (Manual Of Motorcycle Sport) says water only so unless the event Supp Regs say otherwise it's water only.

Sounds like the race prep is working at Wakefield today.
Wattie has already destroyed the new rear control tyre after a couple of sessions.
He's into the 104's which should put him at the front of D grade and not to far from the front of the rest of the field come race day...

I figure its still cheaper than a drill press... Did 4 bikes with em.....
hand-held drill and vice grips ??? FMD mate, that's a horses arse that is !!

Get a bloody drill press, it is one of the best workshop investments you will ever make, and once its up and running, you will wonder how you ever survived without it !!

:kuda:

ps well done Wattie on those times - HIggsy does 1'06's on his P&M Period 5 Kawasaki !!

D'oh ! Maybe not, unless your CBR is running radial calipers :)

Thanks anyway,

Check out Tasty Nuts, I got mine from the UK, but I believe they now have a distributor in Aus. Get serive and good products. While I was getting my caliper bolts, I got Ti allen screws for the brake fluid resivoir, much better than the stock chocolate phillips head screws.

My turn to be a newb...

is there certain parts that need the carbon fibring done to them? ie: is there a mystical list to refer to?
