oil level window replaceable?
while my bike was sliding down the road, the rear brake lever has been pushed into the oil level window and cracked it, it seems pretty flimsy. I can't see it lasting without being replaced.
Is this a replaceable item or what ?

Thanks ian, it's a 2001 or 2002
Looks like to change it you have to take the cover off the sump (or whatever it's covering).

re: oil level window replaceable?
It probably would be, maybe with the use of some oil/fuel resistant epoxy...

Looking at jess's u would have to take the cover off...
Then again its a 250, most people dont even put oil in them, except the used stuff out of the car
Good to see you're back on your feet already thinking about fixing the fker
Need any help let me know, ill try and get my hands on this manual next week and scan it up

Is there much behind the clutch cover? other than oil ... ie is it a pain in the arse take off? or just a case of draining the oil and taking it off...Duane wrote:Looking at jess's u would have to take the cover off...

Re: re: oil level window replaceable?
Nikos, I replaced the oil window on Cath's old ZZR after a minor driveway incident. From memory I dropped the oil, unhooked the clutch cable and removed about 6 bolts. The whole operation took about 20 mins and I didn't need to replace the clutch-cover gasket (I think I still have one in the shed actually)smek wrote:Is there much behind the clutch cover? other than oil ... ie is it a pain in the arse take off? or just a case of draining the oil and taking it off...
